Academic Advising Center

The Academic Advising Center is part of Student Engagement and Success at Adams State College. ASC is committed to empowering students by providing resources to assist them in their pursuit of a successful college experience.

Academic advising is one vital resource available to students during their undergraduate education. The overall goal of academic advising is to assist students in making responsible decisions with regard to their educational and career goals. Advisors discuss with students possible course schedules and other educational experiences. They support students in understanding the requirements and policies necessary to complete a degree in an informed and timely manner. However, students are responsible for making progress toward a degree.

The Academic Advising Center, at the One Stop, is the hub of advising at Adams State College. The Academic Advising Center's main responsibility is to advise all undeclared and Associate of Arts/Associate of Science students, as well as those students admitted on a conditional basis. Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor to discuss: academic goals, major options, registration for classes, and other student services.

The Academic Advising Center also assists all students in major and advisor adds and/or changes.
